I was actually pleasantly surprised when I put this photo together. I’ve been meaning to do this for sometime, not only to share but for myself.

In my last pregnancy I felt like I retained more muscle than I did in my 1st, and I can see that in the shape of my shoulders and legs.

I’m training less than I was in my first postpartum journey and sitting about 1.5kgs heavier. I am also still breastfeeding, as you can see from the fullness in my chest 🙈

My tummy has not bounced back as quickly as it did the first time. I’ve got more loose skin even though both babies were the same size, however it’s understandable when it’s been stretched out twice. It may or may not still tighten, but either way I’m not bothered because I’m just PROUD.

I don’t see my flaws, only the improvements I’ve made. I see a body that’s been lucky enough to have been shared twice.

A rare photo with Tarik.. that’s as close as I’ll get 🤣Just so you (& future Tarik) knows there is no favourtism, the kid just doesn’t sit still.

Time to get him enrolled in a football program and to buy a trampoline. It’s a constant battle to entertain him (especially with a baby) but my gosh I love how inquisitive he is about the world. Any tips I’m all ears!

My first postpartum body goal was to fit back into my pre Azra jeans. I remembered after having Tarik I quickly managed to squeeze back into my pre pregnancy jeans (not these, the others still don’t fit). But this time it took me some time to even get these past my knees.

This postpartum journey has been so different to my first. It’s mainly came down to my mindset. This time around I finally have acceptance and I’m not being so damn hard on myself.

F#ck I hate that phrase. I’ve used it before, my friends have and so have my clients.
As women we don’t celebrate where we are enough.

We don’t celebrate what our bodies have been through, what they are capable of and the fact that we are strong, amazing women.

It’s time to stop hating what we see in the mirror, stop comparing ourselves to others or worrying what others may think.
It’s time to start being more grateful for what we do have. Take charge and tackle those obstacles, embrace the challenge!

Happy to be able to venture out again with a new l

Happy to be able to venture out again with a new little accessory 🐻

Our little girl turned 8 months this week.

She’s finally had a tooth cut through. She’s up onto her knees and seconds away from crawling around on them although she’s been army crawling for months. She’d prefer to feed herself but she’s not there just yet.

Dream feeds are gone and she’s still sleeping through til 7.30am. 2 sleeps per day, most I have to wake her up from. No regressions and I’m hoping it stays that way.

This time around I’ve enjoyed watching my baby figure things out in her own time. I’ve given little to no encouragement, but still plenty of praise, love and attention.

I guess self isolation couldn’t of come at a more convenient time in my life. I’ve always made both my kids routine a priority, but there was nothing getting in the way this time in producing another good little sleeper.
